Bows are a super easy way to dress up any piece of decor. I personally love to add an easy DIY bow to almost every project I complete from signs, to wreaths, to pillows and more! With the holidays quickly approaching, any of these bows will be perfect to add to a fall, Halloween, or Christmas wreath. You can make a whole bunch of pretty bows to decorate your Christmas tree. Remember, it’s super easy to customize these with colors that you like to use in your home decor. They are not just for holiday decorating!

DIY Messy Bow

It doesn’t get any easier than this one.  This is my signature messy bow. This iconic bow has become a staple for many crafters and a definite “go to” bow for anyone who is convinced they’re not a bow maker. Once you know how to make this messy bow, you can use it with any type of scrap fabric, ribbon, tissue paper, napkins and more. The possibilities are endless. Try this one out and you’ll be hooked on my messy bow forever!

HOW TO MAKE A KNOTTY BOW

This is such a fun and whimsical bow. If you are looking for a classic style DIY bow, you will love this knotty bow. Make as many loops as you want for your pretty bow. Use wired ribbon in different widths. Super easy and pretty!

DIY Tulle Bow

I’m in love with the simplicity of this beautiful tulle bow. This is perfect for wedding season. Add it to bouquets, attach it to a pillow or a wreath. So soft and feminine. Hands down one of the easiest bows to make. The confidence you’ll have making these will keep you addicted.

MAKE A BOW WITH TISSUE PAPER

This is my ‘go to’ gift bow. Tissue paper bows are the best for attaching to gift bags, or wrapped presents. Use several colors to make a rainbow tissue paper bow. How about finding printed tissue paper for a custom bow? What style tissue paper would you use? I just love this one!

DIY DECO MESH BOW

This bow brings a lot of punch to any piece of decor. Deco mesh is super inexpensive. You can even find it at the dollar store! Use a mix of bright and pastel colors for a fun contrast. These make great fillers on a Christmas tree as they add dimension and texture.  Make them as fluffy as you like. You can even add florals to the center of this versatile easy to make mesh bow. What a fun bow to try out!

HOW TO MAKE A DIY BOW WITH T-SHIRTS 

Grab those old t-shirts to make really cute t-shirt bows. They look great as bows for elegant napkin rings, too. Use fall colors for your Thanksgiving table, or red for Christmas. With an easy to follow tutorial, you really can’t mess up.  Add a touch of bling for extra elegance. These are the ultimate in an upcycle bow making a great way to repurpose old, otherwise unusable t-shirt materials. Get creative and have fun with this easy bow.

EASY DIY BURLAP BOW 

This last bow is so easy and takes only about 5 minutes to make. Plus, you can find burlap in several different colors now. I’m showing it below used in a fall picture frame wreath. Burlap has a rustic farmhouse feel that continues to be so popular. But, you can also dress it up by using rich reds and blues. Or, how about adding a little bling?
