HOMEMADE ALLERGY FRIENDLY PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

These homemade peanut butter cups are perfect for someone with a nut allergy because they’re made with Wow Butter. Wow Butter is a peanut, tree nut alternative to peanut butter that tastes amazing! Ready to get started?

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED

16 ounces of Chocolate Bark – or melting chocolate – melted
1 jar of WOW BUTTER – about 1/2 a cup for this recipe
1/3 cup of Powdered Sugar
8 – 10 Silicone baking cups Here are the ones I like SILICONE BAKING CUPS

Follow These Steps

  1. Melt the chocolate in a medium-size bowl, in the microwave at 15-second intervals, until melted, and stir until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, add the Wow Butter, and the powdered sugar, and stir together until smooth and creamy.
  3. In the Silicone baking cups, add about 1 teaspoon of the melted chocolate to each cup. Add 1 Tablespoon of the Wow butter/powdered sugar mixture to each cup, on top of the chocolate. Add another teaspoon of melted chocolate on top of the Wow Butter, and smooth out the chocolate.
  4. Place the cups in the refrigerator to set. When the chocolate has set – or hardened – they’re ready to use.

You can make these in place of peanut butter cups for someone who has allergies to peanuts or tree nuts. They make a great gift for someone who cannot have candy off the shelf because of the cross-contamination associated with the majority of store-bought candies.

If you’re not familiar with Wow Butter, it’s usually located with the jelly and honey in most grocery stores. It comes in smooth/creamy, or crunchy choices, and tastes just like peanut butter. It’s made in a peanut/tree nut facility and is a great alternative for anyone who suffers from these types of allergies. It can be used in most recipes calling for peanut butter.
