Embracing Change in 2024: From Empty Nest to Creative Adventures

Today I’m sharing a personal chapter from my book of life, one I thought many of you might resonate with. As I embark on this new year, I am reminded of the importance of the ability to adjust and adapt as well as the joy of embracing change.

From transitioning to an empty nest, embracing organization and travel, to nurturing my business. I’m sharing these all with you today in the hopes that we can grow together this year.

Embracing My Empty Nest Chapter

Well, I guess you could say I have officially arrived. I am finally an empty nester as of 2024! Both my son and daughter are headed in the right direction, out and on their own with amazing careers.

It’s truly such a bittersweet time for me. I’m super sad to see them go and the silence they leave behind is deafening; however, I’m grateful for their futures, and the silence they leave behind! LOL!

Comment below and let me know if you have any tips for me to adjust!

Decluttering and Getting Organized

Since my kids have completely moved out, I plan on rearranging some rooms in the house, decluttering, and freeing up more space in the hopes of getting a little more organized.

I feel that if I can get more organized, it will free up more joy and creativity. Do you need this, too?

Implementing Tiny Travel

Now that my husband and I are officially empty-nesters, we are freed up a little more to do some travel this year. I am making it a priority to take a quick, tiny trip (even if it’s just a day trip) once a month just the two of us.

I will be making it a point to include antique shops, thrift stores, and really fun flea markets as a part of these trips. Because, well, these are what I love.

I’m hoping to take you along with me on these adventures up in my FB and IG stories. Some of them will make it here to the blog as well to join the other On the Road posts HERE.

Embracing My Health

It seems like the whole entire world makes this a goal each January, only to see it fade by February. This year–I’m planning a different little twist.

There are so many reasons to be grateful for my health and want to improve on it as well. I have survived deadly hospital bouts with CoVid twice now, my son is getting married in April, and I have more time to do so.

It looks like these tiny steps for me. A 16oz. bottle of water when I first get up to start my day even before coffee. Weights at the gym with my husband three times a week that doubles as “together” time. In bed by 11pm (this is early for me). That’s it! It may not look like much, but I know I can be faithful to this at least.

Content Planner and Mastermind

On the business side of things, I’m so proud to have created a 2024 Content Planner specifically for creative entrepreneurs.

I’m so excited about this new adventure, and I hope to help several creatives exchange chaos with clarity and focus and make a plan of action that will complement their goals and create a profit.

In addition, there is a new mastermind called Creatives on Fire™ FUEL. It is quite literally fuel for your business to link arms with other creatives all moving forward in the same direction for the entire year.
