  1. Should the recipe read 2 tablespoons of heavy cream instead of two cups? I made as listed and even after whipping the mixture for a long time, it was still in pourable form. I had to add many more cups of powdered sugar to get it thick enough to pipe on the cookies.

    1. southerncrush says:

It’s definitely 2 cups of cream; however, I upped the cream cheese to 8oz. start with the cream cheese, then add the powdered sugar and combine, then drizzle the (chilled) heavy cream slowly, but it should take both cups and be careful not to over mix.

  2. 4 stars
I made these with my 12 year old daughter and we both questioned the two cups of heavy whipping cream. We followed the recipe and the frosting was like soup. tried more powdered sugar but ended up with a bigger amount of soup. We started from scratch and used 2Tbl of whipping cream which was perfect. Besides that the cookies were kinda sweet but very good.

I believe it was supposed to read 1/2 cup. I’ve adjusted the recipe to reflect this. Thank you for trying it and not giving up! I’m glad they were good!
