Fun Summertime Watermelon DIY Coasters
It’s hard to believe that summertime is upon us. Kids out of school means lots of time outside by the pool. These were the perfect little coasters to add some “summertime” decor to our pool and patio areas! See how I used Dollar Tree coasters and some old paper napkins to mod podge these fun DIY Summertime watermelon coasters…

SUPPLIES NEEDED to make diy coasters
- Old coasters. It does not matter what coasters you use. Mine were from Dollar Tree.
- Fun paper napkins. This is the fun part–get creative!
- Mod Podge
- Foam Brushes
- Paint
- Sealer
- Scissors

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS for diy coasters
- Paint over any print on the front of your coasters that you feel might show through.
- Paint any additional colors you desire for edges or sections of the coaster.
- After allowing paint to dry, cut your napkins apart. Separating any layers if needed.
- Using mod podge, apply the napkin to your coaster. Apply a thin layer on top of your coaster.
- Place napkin in desired location.
- Apply a coat of mod podge to the top of your napkin and allow to dry.
- Seal these coasters with a few coats of spray sealer and you should be good to go!
- Viola! Enjoy your favorite beverage outdoors by the pool or on your patio and be sure to use your new summertime coasters!
