HOW TO MAKE A Jean Pocket Patriotic Banner

Use fabric scissors to cut the pockets from old jeans. It’s best to use different styles of jeans, like darkwash, etc. This will give the banner more dimension and texture.

Cut a long piece of twine the length that you want your banner to be. Attach the jean pockets to the twine with your hot glue gun. Alternate the pockets so they are different colors.

NEXT…

Once you have the jean pockets added, it’s time to embellish them. I used USA letters for a really fun patriotic touch and red star ribbon to tie along the top of the banner. The red really makes it pop!

Some pretty rick rack was glued around the pockets for extra detail.

Remember the star cookie cutters? I used them as a template to cut out fabric stars. Don’t they look great?!

The final touch was to add little fabric hankies to each pocket. This really completes the patriotic banner and gives it extra cuteness!
