Cheap and Easy Dollar Tree Porch Decor DIY

I never dreamed a Dollar Tree DIY could transform into something so amazing. Decorating my front porch is one of my favorite places to get creative.  With a few items from the Dollar Tree this porch decor DIY became such a cute patriotic display that will last the entire summer! This DIY was super easy to put together as shown in the few short steps below. I hope you’ll try one for your porch decorating this season.

• Americana reusable shopping bag of your choice
• Selection of red, white and blue flower stems
• Old heavy books to weigh down the bag
• Floral foam blocks
• Inexpensive American flags
• Cotton stems (optional)
• Tin star picks or pin wheel picks

HOW TO MAKE GIFT BAG DECOR FOR YOUR PORCH

First grab a reusable bag from the Dollar Tree and add some weight to the bottom. I used old vintage books. Just a few should do the trick!

Next add some floral foam; also from the Dollar Tree. This is to make adding your florals easier.

Add in the floral stems of your choice.

Miniature American flags are a cute filler item as well.

I added some cotton stems as well to fill in the gaps.

Finally, place a few metal star picks or pinwheel picks into the floral arrangement to add some height to your design.

That’s it! Set it out on your front or back porch to enjoy the whole summer long!

 

easy GIFT BAG porch decor

This turned out so cute I thought and plan to use this same concept to decorate for the different seasons! It would look so good with a Christmas, Easter, Halloween or Fall bag as well, don’t you think?
