Tips and Tricks

  • Make sure you get pretzel twists and not pretzel sticks so there is a place to put the Hershey Hug.
  • Don’t let the Hugs sit in the oven too long, you don’t want the chocolate to melt all over the baking tray. You just need the chocolate to be soft enough to add the decorative heart.
  • Make sure the chocolate is completely hardened before you move the treats to a storage container.

  • Top the Hershey’s Hugs with M&Ms, Skittles, Rolos, Reese’s Pieces, chopped mint candies or pieces of any of your favorite candy.
  • Sprinkle the melted chocolate with roasted nuts like pecans or seeds like pumpkin.
