  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups powdered milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • A pinch of cinnamon, if desired to taste like Mexican hot chocolate
  • Hot water or milk for serving

How to Make the Best Hot Chocolate Mix:

Combine the Dry Ingredients:

In a large bowl, mix the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, powdered milk, salt, and cornstarch.

Store the Mix:

Transfer the mix to an airtight container. It can be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.

Making a Cup:

Add 1/2 cup of cocoa mix and 1/2 cup hot water or hot milk to enjoy in one serving. Stir well and enjoy.  

I like to put the hot cocoa mix in the mug and add the hot liquid on top, and stir with this hand milk frother, in order to avoid getting any lumps. Enjoy!
