  3. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes to help create thicker banana pecan pancakes.
  4. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and brush with oil. Once the skillet is hot, reduce the heat to medium-low and scoop 1/3 cup banana pecan pancake batter onto the skillet. Pro tip: use the bottom of a measuring cup or spoon to smooth down in a circular pattern.Banana Pecan Pancakes frying pan
  5. Cook until many bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake. Usually, it takes 2 to 3 minutes. Then, flip and cook an additional 2-3 minutes on the uncooked side of the pancake.
  6. Place the finished pancakes on a plate. You can keep the pancakes warm by setting the plate in your oven on the lowest setting. (Another tip is to preheat the oven and then turn it off and just allow them to sit in the warmed oven.)
  7. Serve your banana pecan pancakes topped with sliced bananas and additional pecans for a breakfast that’s both beautiful and delicious.

What should I serve with my pancakes?

These banana pecan pancakes are so good, they will have you thinking of banana nut bread or cake. Here is my favorite Banana Cake Recipe! Since this pancake recipe is anything but ordinary, you might be wondering what to serve alongside this quick and easy breakfast dish. You could use the old standbys or try some new additions to shake things up. Here are some suggestions we like:

  • Include your favorite pancake toppings like real maple syrup, extra chopped or whole pecans, and fresh whipped cream topping.
  • Add some chocolate chips or chocolate syrup for a sweet new flavor combination the whole family will love.
  • Who doesn’t love bacon? A few pieces of salty bacon goes well with pancakes of any kind.

What’s your favorite pancake breakfast side dish? I’d love to read about your favorite breakfast dishes in the comments.
