Supplies You'll Need
- Dollar Tree fabric fat quarters
- Scrap fabric
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Dollar Tree ribbon
- Dollar Tree shower curtain rings
- Dollar Tree cork sheet
- Dollar Tree round wood blank
- Mod Podge
- Baker's twine
- Zip ties
- Decorative buttons (optional)
- Rolling pin
- Craft iron (optional but helpful)

1. DIY Fabric Rolling Pin Cover
One of my favorite thrift store finds has to be vintage rolling pins, and this easy fabric cover lets you display them beautifully while still being able to use them.

Using a simple rectangle of Dollar Tree fabric, I created a removable sleeve that slides right over the rolling pin. A little ribbon trim finishes the edges and gives it that custom boutique look.
I especially love that this isn't permanent. Simply slide the cover off whenever you're ready to bake, then slip it back on for decorating.

Great Uses
- Kitchen shelf decor
- Farmhouse kitchen styling
- Housewarming gifts
- Bridal shower gifts
- Cookie exchange gifts
Helpful Tip
If I made another one, I'd probably use Velcro along the seam instead of permanently gluing it closed. That would make changing fabrics for the seasons even easier!
2. Easy Fabric Napkin Rings
This project may be one of the easiest DIYs you'll ever make.
Using Dollar Tree shower curtain rings and strips of scrap fabric, you can create beautiful custom napkin rings that completely change the look of your table.

I mixed coordinating fabrics together for a collected look, but you could easily make matching sets for holidays, birthdays, weddings, or everyday dining.
These are perfect for:
- Holiday tablescapes
- Family dinners
- Bridal showers
- Baby showers
- Gift baskets
- Hostess gifts

Make Them Your Own
Try using:
- Seasonal fabrics
- Plaids
- Florals
- Christmas prints
- Patriotic fabrics
- Fall colors
The possibilities are endless.
3. My Favorite Scrap Fabric Messy Bow
If you've been around here for very long, you already know how much I love a good messy bow!
This version couldn't be easier.
Simply tear or cut strips of scrap fabric, stack them together, secure everything with a zip tie, trim the top, fluff the loops, and finish with a pretty button if you'd like.
That's it!

These bows look adorable on:
- Wreaths
- Gifts
- Tiered trays
- Lanterns
- Candles
- Dough bowls
- Signs
- Centerpieces
Pro Tip
Tearing the fabric instead of cutting it gives the bow a softer, vintage-inspired look that I absolutely love.
4. DIY Cork Memo Board
This project combines organization with pretty decor, and I'm here for it!
Starting with a Dollar Tree round wood blank and a sheet of cork, I created a memo board that's both practical and decorative.

I added scrap fabric along the bottom, wrapped baker's twine across the front for holding cards and photos, then finished everything with one of my signature fabric bows.
Now I have the perfect place to display:
- Invitations
- Photos
- Grocery lists
- Reminder notes
- Greeting cards
- Family announcements

Decorating Tip
Add magnets to the back and hang it on your refrigerator for an adorable command center!
Why I Love Crafting with Scrap Fabric
One of the best things about fabric scraps is that almost nothing goes to waste.
Tiny pieces become bows.
Larger pieces become napkin rings.
Even leftover ribbon finds a new purpose.
It's one of the most affordable ways to decorate your home because you're using supplies you probably already have.
Dollar Tree fabric makes it even easier since you can pick up coordinating prints without spending much at all.
More Ways to Use Scrap Fabric
Once you start looking around your craft room, you'll find fabric can be used almost anywhere.
Some of my favorite ideas include:
- Basket liners
- Garland
- Pillow embellishments
- Tiered tray decor
- Gift wrapping
- Ornament hangers
- Book stack ties
- Mason jar toppers
- Seasonal wreaths
There really isn't much you can't create with a few fabric scraps and a little imagination.
I can't wait to hear which one you're making first!
