Beach Essentials for a Beach Vacation

Sun Protection

Sunscreen: Don’t forget to apply sunscreen before heading out into the sun! This will help protect your skin from harmful UV rays and prevent sunburn. I love this powder one for my face so that I’m not all sticky feeling.

Sunhat: There are so many cute sunhats on the market. You can even DIY one like I did HERE! This particular sunhat I found online has the sweet opening on the top to show off your favorite scarf and it rolls up to tuck neatly into your beach bag!

Swim Shoes: Talk about essential! These are a must if you’re planning to walk along the beach. Nowadays there are so many sharp objects like seashells and glass that you need protection for your feet. These are great for cruises, too!

Swim socks or swim shoes

Beach Thongs: Croc makes these awesome beach thongs that you can easily rinse off after a day at the beach. You can walk on the fire-hot sand and not burn your feet and any sand runs right through them. I love it!

Beach Gear

Beach towels: Let’s face it… a beach towel is a necessity for drying off after a swim or lying in the sun, but especially for hanging out at the hotel pool. This is a collection of my favorite ones–oh and they’re all super cute!

Beach chair or umbrella: A beach chair or umbrella will provide you with a comfortable place to relax and take in all the “people-watching” we like to do at the beach. This one has its own cooler attachment and has screening to keep you drying out at all times! I love the “no-sink” feet, too!

Beach Chair

Beach bag: A beach bag is essential for carrying all of your beach essentials with you. It should be large enough to fit everything you need, but not so bulky that it’s difficult to carry.

Beach Skincare

Aftersun Care: After a day at the beach or the pool for that matter your skin can get dehydrated and damaged. My favorite remedy is this cooling gel stick from Milk Makeup! It instantly soothes any sunburned areas on my face and doubles as a de-puffer in the morning underneath my puffy eyes.

Sand Remover: This handy little bag is amazing! Simply wipe it across any part of your skin that needs sand removal. No more sticky feet or sand-covered legs when getting in the car after a day at the beach! Great for kiddos!

Chafing Balm: Yes, we all need this! It’s HOT at the beach and you need this protection for your neck, arms, and of course legs! An ounce of prevention is worth it’s weight in gold!
