SIMPLE WOODEN DOUGH BOWL

Wooden Dough Bowls are one of my favorite ways to display decor! They can be changed out for any season and are super versatile! This Simple Wooden Dough Bowl DIY was made fabulous by using gilding size and silver leaf. I'm in love with the way it turned out...

Materials

  • 1 heart shaped wooden dough bowl
  • 1 gilding size medium
  • 1 silver leaf foil
  • 1 chip brush

Instructions

  • Dip a super small amount of gilding size to a chip brush and only apply in the areas you wish to for the foil to adhere.
  • Let the size "come to tack" or dry for about 5 mins to get tacky instead of just wet.
  • Carefully open the silver leaf and separate the divider sheets to gently remove a single sheet of foil.
  • Lay the silver foil over the are you prepared with the size medium.
  • Tap it down gently, brushing off any excess.
  • Remove from any areas you do not want coverage by scraping it away.
  • Add to any areas missed by applying another sheet of foil.
