Easy Halloween Brownie Bats
If you’re looking for a fun and easy treat to make for Halloween, try these Halloween Brownie Bats! You'll love the secret ingredient!
9x13 casserole dish or baking pan
Mixing Bowls
Hand mixer or whisk
Rubber spatula
Measuring Cups and Spoons
Parchment paper (optional)
Cooling rack
Small offset spatula or butter knife
- 1 box Duncan Hines brownie mix
- Oil water, and eggs (as listed on the box)
- 1 Hershey Symphony Bar the toffee crunch is my favorite part
- Gel frosting
- Edible candy eyes
Step 1: Prep the pan and oven
Step 2: Mix the batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with the oil, water, and eggs listed on the box. Mix it all together until the batter is smooth and glossy.
Step 4: Bake
Bake the brownies following the package directions until they’re rich, fudgy, and your kitchen smells like pure chocolate heaven. Let them cool completely before cutting—trust me, this step makes all the difference.
Step 5: Cut the bats
Once the brownies are cool, carefully lift them out of the pan if you used parchment paper. Press your bat-shaped cookie cutter into the brownies and lift out each little bat. If needed, use a small spatula to help loosen them without breaking off any wings.
Step 6: Add the eyes
This is where they really come to life! Add a tiny dot of gel frosting where each eye will go, then gently press on the edible candy eyes. Suddenly, you’ve got a tray full of the cutest brownie bats staring back at you.
