Crispy Baked Beet Chips Recipe

Imagine biting into a chip that's not only satisfying but is also rich in nutrients. These crispy beet chips maintain the earthy sweetness of beets while providing that irresistible crunch. They're great for munching on during movie night or as a colorful addition to your lunchbox.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large beets peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: seasoning of choice such as garlic powder, paprika, or cayenne pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Beets: Peel the beets and slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife. The thinner the slices, the crispier the chips will be.
  • Season: In a mixing bowl, toss the beet slices with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and any additional seasonings you prefer until well coated.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the beet slices out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chips are crispy and slightly curled. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chips cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving bowl. Enjoy your homemade beet chips!
