Best Praline Pecans

Homemade candied pecans.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ stick unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp light corn syrup
  • 2 cups chopped or whole pecans

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients except for vanilla and pecans.
  • Cook on low heat until it reaches a soft ball stage or 236 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Let cool until it reaches 150 degrees fahrenheit.
  • Stir in vanilla and finally pecans.
  • Spoon onto a greased foil sheet or baking pan until set.
  • Store in a cool dry air-tight container.
