Easy Last-Minute Halloween Party Food Idea: Mummy Ding Dong Cupcakes

Are you still trying to come up with last-minute Halloween party food ideas? Look no further than these adorable and spooky Mummy Ding Dong cupcakes! They are easy to make and are sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients
  

  • Hostess Ding Dong Cupcakes
  • White Icing or White Chocolate Chips melted
  • Candy Eyeballs

Instructions
 

  • Unwrap each Hostess Ding Dong and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • If you are using white chocolate chips, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stove in a double boiler. Keep a watchful eye on it, always stirring in between. Once the chips are fully melted and smooth, put it in a piping bag or baggie with the corner cut off.
  • I used "ready-made" icing as an even better solution to the last-minute issue.
  • Use white icing to pipe white lines in a zig-zag pattern across the ding dong cupcakes, as though you are wrapping the mummy with bandages.
  • Now it's time to place the candy eyes on the Ding Dong Mummies! This is the part that really makes them "come alive".
  • Place the cupcakes in the refrigerator to let the chocolate set and become firm.
  • Once the cupcakes have chilled in the fridge for a while, take them out and place them on a cute platter, and voila! You’ve created cute and spooky Mummy Ding Dong cupcakes for your Halloween party!
