Easy Faux Macrame Wall Hanging Ghost

Get the look of real macrame without all the knots! This wall hanging ghost decoration is made with white dollar tree nautical rope and requires no knotting skills. It's the perfect project for beginners or anyone looking for a quick and easy macrame wall hanging decoration for Halloween.

Equipment

Materials

  • 6 Bundles of Dollar Tree Nautical Rope
  • 1 Rainbow decor from Dollar Tree or foam board
  • 1 black Felt

Instructions

  • Glue each of the rope strands to the rainbow backing alternatively you can use a piece of foam board in place of the rainbow backing.
  • Unravel each strand of rope at the bottom mimicking the look of real macramé. This will give it a curly look that is so cute!
  • Trim off any loose rope ends and even up at the bottom if desired.
  • Cut out three circles for eyes and mouth out of black felt and hot glue them onto the ghost.
  • Make a cute bow out of scrap ribbon and add a piece of bling to the center if desired. Attach with hot glue.
  • Reattach the original jute rope hanger for the rainbow decor and hang on your front door or on a wall in your home for an instant wall hanging Halloween decoration.
